The preservation and stewardship of Frelinghuysen Marsh protects, restores, and enhances wetlands, a stream corridor, and an important wildlife habitat.
A portion of this property is an actively managed bog turtle habitat-a water control structure was installed in 2000. Woody vegetation which grows naturally on the property is balanced by periodic mowing to sustain this palustrine wetland marsh.
